The NPS Community Garden

A peak at the community garden established by folk from the National Park Service.  The location is on Route 209 heading towards Milford (up near the 7-mile marker).

Future Site of Middle Smithfield's Community Garden


For those of you that haven't had a peek yet at the future site of Middle Smithfield's Community Garden, here are a few pics of the location:

Smithfield Township's Community Garden



Sometimes inspiration can be found right around the corner.  Here's a look at neighboring Smithfield Township's Community Garden.  

The garden is well designed with 32 raised beds and a gravel walkway between the units.  Fencing surrounds the garden and is sufficiently sunk into the ground to keep out the groundhogs and rabbits.

The garden boasts its own outhouse, water supply, tool shed and beehives (with lots of available parking nearby).  Here's an overhead view of the garden and its immediate surroundings:
